There is now an exciting opportunity for a Product Validation Engineer to join Dyson?s world leading Research, Design & Development Centre based in Malmesbury, Wiltshire.

As a Product Validation Engineer, your responsibilities will cover the following areas:

- Working with Design Experts to understand product risks
- Developing suitable testing methods and plans to mitigate these risks
- Building test rig and facility specifications to enable the required testing
- Helping to develop and iterate tests and test methods
- Maintaining good communication with members of the UK and South East Asian test facilities to ensure that testing is undertaken correctly
- Analysing test data

To be considered for the role of Product Validation Engineer, you must have:

- A degree or equivalent in an engineering or scientific discipline
- Experience of testing and data analysis, either in a commercial role or as part of a university final year project
- Good analytical and problem solving skills with the capability to assess technologies and products using a variety of methods
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise tasks
- The ability to work effectively individual and within a team environment
- A persistent nature coupled with an inquisitive approach
- Good communication and presentation skills
- The ability to make design recommendations from experimental results
- An understanding of standard test procedures and equipment

Experience of understanding statistical analysis, using Weibull, Gage R&R and MTTF, would be beneficial to your application, as would experience of designing and building simple electrical circuits and control systems. Proven experience of PLC or basic computer programming would also be advantageous, as would experience of designing and building simple mechanical systems.

A proven track record of working with DFMEAs would be equally favourable.
